Successful Pilot of the ENSO Deodorizing Solution at Da Nang Domestic Airport
On the afternoon of December 26, the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center held a meeting with Da Nang International Airport to report the results of the solution “Application of ENSO Deodorizing Granules for Odor Control in Airport Spaces” proposed by ENSO DANA Co., Ltd. After four months of pilot operation, the solution demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in eliminating unpleasant odors at Da Nang Domestic Airport, contributing to an enhanced passenger experience and improved airport service quality.

The solution was proposed by the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center at a workshop held on May 21, 2025, and was subsequently selected by Da Nang International Airport for pilot implementation. Accordingly, from August 19, 2025, ENSO DANA installed a pilot ENSO odor filtration system directly connected to the existing exhaust system at the public restrooms on Level 1 (Zone D, F-20 & F-21) of the domestic terminal.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center, speaking at the meeting
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center, stated that the Center always encourages and accompanies innovative enterprises in bringing products and technologies into practical pilot applications at key public infrastructure projects throughout the city. ENSO DANA’s solution not only contributes to improving service quality and enhancing the experience of residents and visitors, but also aligns with Da Nang City's orientation toward sustainable development, cleaner production, and energy conservation. The Center expects this model to continue to be improved, expanded, and applied in more locations in the future.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Thong, CEO & Founder of ENSO DANA, presenting the project results
Presenting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Minh Thong, CEO & Founder of ENSO DANA, stated that in order to objectively evaluate the deodorizing performance, ENSO DANA collaborated with the Quality Assurance and Testing Center 2 (QUATEST 2) to conduct air sampling and quality analysis under Sampling Record No. 301/KT2-K8 dated September 6, 2025.
The monitoring results showed that, before applying the solution, the men's restroom recorded high concentrations of characteristic odor-causing gases such as NH₃ and H₂S compared with the National Technical Regulation on Ambient Air Quality (QCVN 05:2023/BTNMT). This serves as practical evidence confirming the necessity of applying specialized deodorization technologies in airport environments with high passenger traffic.

ENSO Odor Filtration System Installed at Da Nang Domestic Airport
After the air was treated through the ENSO odor filtration system, NH₃ and H₂S were no longer detected, with concentrations below the analytical method's limit of quantification. These results demonstrate the outstanding odor treatment performance of the ENSO solution. In addition, sensory evaluation at the exhaust outlet confirmed that the surrounding area was completely free of unpleasant odors, creating a fresh and comfortable environment.
Based on actual operational observations and independent monitoring results, Da Nang International Airport acknowledged the clear effectiveness of the ENSO odor filtration system in treating odor-causing gases, contributing to improved air quality and service quality at the domestic terminal. As the airport continues to expand its operations, the application of innovative and environmentally friendly technologies is considered necessary and consistent with the airport's sustainable development orientation.

Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of Da Nang International Airport, delivering his remarks at the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of Da Nang International Airport, acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive results achieved during the pilot implementation of the ENSO deodorizing solution. At the same time, he suggested that ENSO DANA continue researching and improving the product and optimizing the solution to better suit the airport's actual operating conditions. In the immediate future, the airport will facilitate further pilot implementation and move toward cooperation in treating odors and exhaust gases in specific areas such as wastewater treatment facilities, smoking rooms in passenger waiting areas, food kiosks, municipal solid waste collection areas, and other emission sources throughout the airport.
The meeting marked an important milestone, not only recognizing the effectiveness of the ENSO DANA deodorizing solution but also opening up prospects for long-term cooperation between an innovative startup and major infrastructure management and operation organizations in Da Nang City. It also reaffirmed the role of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center as a bridge to promote and develop the city's innovation startup ecosystem, helping bring technological ideas and products from pilot testing into practical application, creating economic and social value, and contributing to the sustainable development goals of Da Nang City.
